Oak Kitchens

The expertly crafted quality cabinets found within this collection are now available either in our classic natural oil finish or with a painted exterior finish. They can be used freestanding or fitted.  Each classic design is complemented with traditionally made solid oak frames, solid oak shelves and solid oak wine racks, cutlery drawers, trays, chopping boards and drawers with Blum soft-close hardware. For our traditional five-piece Shaker-style cabinet sides and doors, the thinner infill panel is constructed from plywood finished on both faces with a quality genuine oak veneer. We don't do this as a cost-saving exercise as in fact it's more expensive than using solid oak - the simple reason is that plywood (made from cross laminating multiple layers of natural timber) is more stable than thinner solid timber in a single layer, which is susceptible to warping and splitting over time. Trees just aren't designed to be used that way!
